Eight Strings & a Whistle returns to Tenri for its annual November concert.

"Daydreams and Other Realities" will feature the World Premiere of "A Midsummer's Daydream" by the winner of the 2024 8SW Composer Competition, Zoe Yost. Composer, violist and poet, Yost has written a spectacular, vibrant and whimsical trio that 8SW is very excited to present.

Also featured is Timothy Bowlby's "Trio for 4 Instruments", a fast paced romp with twists and turns that will take you on a crazy ride. Stanley Grill's "The Whirr of Wings" Suite is a swirl of colors. Bess Morrison will join 8SW this evening to narrate the poems which inspired this work.

Robert Davidson's energetic "Bond Over Triads" and the graceful Trio Sonata in F by J.G. Graun round out this program.
